The Tennessee Board of Pharmacy does not require any continuing education (CE) hours. However, certified pharmacy technicians must complete CE to meet the requirements of specific certification programs. The Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) and the National Healthcareer Association (NHA) (which administers the ExCPT certification exam) both require technicians to complete CE to maintain their certification. Technicians should contact their certifying organization for detailed information on these requirements. Adhering to these standards is essential to maintain national accreditation.
