Course Overview
Flavoring and sweetening are essential components of nonsterile compounding that directly impact patient adherence and therapeutic outcomes. Selecting appropriate flavoring and sweetening agents requires consideration of drug properties, formulation stability, and patient-specific factors. This continuing education activity reviews the science of taste, flavoring techniques, and the selection of sweetening agents, with a focus on pediatric and veterinary populations.
