Required Continuing Education Courses for Florida Pharmacy Technicians
Renewal Process:
- 2 Hours in Medication Errors
- From the Board website: "For Registered Pharmacy Technicians that are certified to immunize, you are required to complete 2 hours of continuing education approved by the board. Approved courses are listed in CEBroker. If you obtained the immunization certification less than 12 months from your certification date, you are not required to complete the additional 2-hours of continuing education."

From the Florida Board website:
"First Biennium Pharmacy Technician License Renewal: If you are renewing your license for the first time and the renewal occurs less than 12 months after the initial licensure date you are only required to complete 1 hour in HIV/AIDS and 2 medication errors. If your biennial renewal occurs 12 months or more after your initial licensure date you are required to complete 9 (2 must be live) general hours of registered pharmacy technician continuing education, 1 hour of HIV/AIDS and 2 hours of medication errors."
Registered Pharmacy Technicians can only take CE courses approved for Pharmacy Techs. When taking a continuing education course, ensure to verify that it is approved for Pharmacy Technicians and not for Pharmacists. If you are a certified Pharmacy Tech through the PTCB or NHA, you also must meet their CE requirements for healthcare professionals.

Q: How do I access my courses, see the materials, and take the tests?

Q: My courses haven’t been reported to CPEMonitor.
A: First, wait 2-4 hours for courses to be processed by CPEMonitor. After this time, go to
My Info/Courses >> Completed Courses and click ‘Click to Check’ on ‘Has this Course Been Reported to CPEMonitor?’ This button will check if the course has been reported and then try and resubmit it if it hasn’t been reported. If this fails, check to make sure your NABP eProfile ID and date of birth are accurate in My Info/Courses >> Manage Account. If this information is accurate and the course is still not reported contact us as soon as possible using the Support page.Q: I've purchased a live webinar or live conference. What do I do to register for it?
A: To register for your purchased webinar click on the
My Info/Courses link in the top blue navbar. If this is the first time you have logged onto your account you may have to confirm your email and enter license details (see the "FAQ: How do I access my courses, see the materials, and take the tests?" for more information about this.) Then simply click the Live Webinars tab and click Register for Webinar. We recommend registering with the same email your account is under to make it easier for us to confirm you attended the webinar.
