2 Hours: Medication Errors (Board-approved) (Separate from 26 āgeneral hoursā)
1 Hour: Human Trafficking (Counts as one of 26 āgeneral hoursā)

Controlled Substances
Any courses in the Opioids/Controlled Substances category
Human Trafficking
Any courses in the Human Trafficking category
Medication Errors
Any courses in the Medical Errors/Patient Safety category

For your first license renewal, what are the renewal requirements?
If your initial renewal is 12 months or more after the initial licensure date:
- You must complete 15 hours of continuing education, with at least 5 hours being live.
- This must include:
- 2 hours of medication errors
- 2 hours of controlled substances
- 1 hour in HIV/AIDS
If your initial renewal is less than 12 months from the initial licensure date:
- You must complete the following:
- 1 hour in HIV/AIDS
- 2 hours of medication errors
- 2 hours of controlled substances
