Course Summary
Abscesses are collections of pus in infected tissues and are a common type of skin and soft tissue infection (SSTI) experienced by patients in community and hospital settings. Management of abscesses requires an understanding of their associated risk factors and pathophysiology, as well as knowledge pertaining to clinical manifestations, diagnosis, and effective treatment strategies.
