Course Summary
Pressure-induced skin injuries, commonly known as pressure ulcers or bed sores, are local damage to either skin or soft tissue. They are a significant concern in acute and long-term care settings and can lead to severe complications if not managed properly. This continuing education activity will provide healthcare professionals, including physicians and pharmacists, with an in-depth understanding of pressure injuries, focusing on risk identification, staging of severity, and management and monitoring strategies.
