Course Summary

Anaphylaxis can be a life-threatening allergic reaction primarily caused by histamines. It can be mild and self-limiting but can also be fatal. In this activity, participants will learn to identify triggers, signs, and symptoms of anaphylaxis. Clinicians will learn about the available epinephrine products approved for anaphylaxis and the barriers to patient adherence with epinephrine auto-injectors, such as trypanophobia. Finally, this course reviews the proper use and administration of nasal epinephrine spray.
