Course Summary
This course describes lipid physiology and non-statin therapy targets. It identifies the indications, side effect profiles, and monitoring recommendations for lipid-lowering medications. Clinicians and patients may choose pharmacologic and nutraceutical options that are indicated. Patients may be intolerant to statins, or they may be contraindicated or are subtherapeutic.
